ABOUT MEREDITH MUSIC PUBLICATIONS

Meredith Music Publications, a boutique publisher of unparalleled performance and music-education texts, was founded in 1979 by President and Owner Garwood Whaley and was created on the premise that performance and music education are inextricably linked. On this basis, our publications are written to be both instructive and musically rewarding. The publication of all our materials is guided by three important principles--that music and music texts must be: artistic and educationally creative, intelligently and attractively presented, and reasonably priced. These principles govern the selection and presentation of all music and texts chosen for publication by Meredith. We have received numerous endorsements for excellence from internationally recognized professionals that confirm our achievement of these goals.

"The etudes are another welcome addition to that literature by an increasingly responsible publisher."
Frederick Fennell

"...an important collection written by one of the best performers today."
Mstislav Rostropovich

"...challenging and musically rewarding to any aspiring timpanist."
Vic Firth
